Kaleva Hall on May 8...

                                     Kaleva Hall, Virginia Minnesota
Have you ever visited Kaleva Hall in Virginia MN? I'm heading there on Saturday, May 8 for a Writer's Symposium scheduled to run from 10 am until 3 pm that day.

Twenty area authors will partake in this free event open to the public. You'll have a chance to meet area authors, buy personally signed books and enjoy a fun day with a focus on writing and books. And, of course, I'll be bringing my book, Cooler Near the Lake, with me and will gladly sign a copy for you!

I've never been to Kaleva Hall but am looking forward to seeing it for the first time. Kaleva Hall, formerly know as Temperance Hall, is a Finntown landmark that goes back to the early 1900s. A registered historic site both in Minnesota and nationally, it's been beautifully preserved and should be a vintage building worth seeing.

Hope to see you there!

Two Denfeld graduates in a Finnish temperance hall at the same time hawking books? What are the odds? I'll be there and I'll stop by to say "hello" at your table.

  2. Looking forward to it, Mark. Tell your dad to stop by too; I haven't seen him in a while. Miss our old lunch bunch.
