Most of the time, I'm dozing by then and don't watch much. Regarding "Cooler" as a soporific: I way whatever works. At book signings, I used to tell people it was a pretty good bathroom book because each column takes about five minutes to read and then you can pick it up again next time. Thanks for writing. Always enjoy your posts.
JimJim Heffernanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04388986747065569089noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7676257508484188930.post-34391955471107786832010-04-17T15:57:40.316-05:002010-04-17T15:57:40.316-05:00Hi Jim
Television watching after the 10pm news ha...Hi Jim

Television watching after the 10pm news has dwindled over the last few years in our home. Usually the set is turned off after the 10pm weather segment. More often than not a book or magazine has become the path to sweet dreams. If something is on it's probably David Lettermen although that is becoming rare. What is funny about this is that we have satellite TV with hundreds upon hundreds of different channels. Of which, most of the time, there is absolutely nothing of interest on to watch. Let me say here that your book "Cooler Near The Lake" is a terrific pre-snooze read. Wait a minute, that didn't come out right. I didn't mean to imply it puts you to sleep. Your columns are humorous, upbeat and a real nice way to drift off with a smile. My copy sits permanently on my nightstand. The book is great for beating up on the alarm clock at 6am too.

Erick HAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
